I have been a member of ABSA rewards since 2010. Since 2013, my rewards haven't been allocated despite me spending significantly on my ABSA products monthly. I reported the issue in August and was told their is an error and that they would escalate to calculate my rewards manually - this was to take 10 days. Two weeks later I called and was told they are still busy calculating. Now over a month later there is no feedback so I called again. First the systems were offline. Called back the following day to be told nothing had happened to-date and they would need to draw statements and calculate from scratch. What's more, over the months this has been happening, the service fee for ABSA rewards has been debited from my account. This service is pathetic, as soon as my rewards are paid out I intend on cancelling the service and switching to Discovery Miles rather. Absa should seriously have a look at FNB and Discovery's reward programmes.
