Obtained fnal settlement amount for Furniture City account on 21 December 2012. On same day transferred R4, 051.16 from my FNB account to Furniture City FNB account. Checked with branch on 16 January 2013 - payment not credited. Contacted call centre (011 564 7200) on 17 January and faxed payment notification to Sthembiso. Checked again with call centre on 18 January. Amount credited but interest charged up to 18 January! Given direct number of Gugu (011 256 3079). Incorrect! Called 011 564 3079 and the saga continues... number not available. Back to call centre - being transferred. Oops - an error occurred. Where to from here? National Consumer Commission? Reports claim it is ineffective and "simply not up ti its task"!
