Due to my extreme working hours i always had to pay my Amex card payments via the autoteller, During January 2013 i received notification as to contact the bank if i would like to receive a new Amex card as the present card at that time are about to expire, i phoned Nedbank card department and confirmed to receive the new card. 07/03/2013 when i tried to pay the monthly bill the card were retained at the auto bank stating " transaction cancelled card expired" As the bank are usually closed when i knock off from work i could not pay and receiced a threatening letter on 23/05/2013 to pay R630.00 immediately and the balance on the card were R3562.10. On 24 May 2013 i took the day off from work resulting in a loss of income as i deliver pizza for an income to pay the said balance only to find out suddenly because i wanted to pay the balance and close the account there were the amount of R368.13 added leaving the new balance at an astonishing R3930.23 and nobody can explain why and where this amount suddenly came from. I am not prepared to pay a penalty of R 368.13 because the bank neglected to send the renewal card and i am no longer interested in their credit card.
