I have two accounts with Nedbank. A savings account and a current account. I only use my current account as a transactional account and my savings account for my debit orders.
The frustrating thing is that one constantly have "movements due" reflecting on the online statement without any indication of what it is. I do not understand how Nedbank's banking system can be aware of the movement, yet not know what it is.
This situation is even worse when I do an interaccount transfer with Nedbank where my statement shows one balance and my "balance" shows a different one and one of the two shows "movements due". In this day and age of immediate electronic systems, I find the fact that the bank tries to hold on to cash that does not belong to them in order to earn interest on it suspect. They no longer have the excuse of manual entry of transactions.
This makes it extremely difficult to manage your current situation without having to keep a spreadsheet of your own. Why even bother to have a statement, when it does not reflect reality.
I am now at the point of frustration where I am considering closing my accounts and going back to ABSA so I can manage my money better.
