I have a policy with Motorite and I just found out that the CAM belt of my car needs servicing, to my surprise I was told that "Motorite", my policy doesn't cover a CAM belt service... I then called them and spoke to their heartless and emotionless callcenter agents and they just said it's like that and if I need it covered I'll have to pay.
Now to my understanding is that a Service Plan includes in parallel what the manufacture service plan should cover, however according to Motorite, this is not so. I then went through my policy with a fine comb and it states "
we administer the standard
maintenance service of the vehicle, comprising:
(i) Minor services;
(ii) Major services;
(iii) Intermediate services, provided these services are standard and required
for normal usage of the vehicle only;
(iv) Annual services (due to low kilometer usage);
Now I'm sure if I contact Audi, which I will do, inclusive or details of a major service is a CAM belt change.
I urge everyone that if they have a Motorite policy to call in and make sure they are suitably covered or better yet, just cancel the policy all together cause they are just after you hard earned cash.
