I called Alexander Forbes Call Centre to take them up on their promotion advertised on Radio 702 where they promise to pay R1000 if they cant beat your current building insurance.
I spoke to mr Pitswane and after asking various questions, he quoted me a premium of R282.20. That premium higher than the R276.97 that I was currently paying, and I asked mr. Pitsane what the process was to claim the R1000.
He said he would speak to his supervisor, but in the mean time, will send me a blank email, to which I must attach a scanned copy of my current policy schedule as proof of my current premium, which I did.
The next thing, I receive an emailed quote, with a new amount, which is now slightly lower than my current premium, and when I followed it up, Mr Pitswane replied that because they now beat my current insurance, I do not qualify for the R1000 promotion anymore.
