I recently renovated my house and added 48 sqm to the house but because ABSA is so full of nonsense when it comes to loans for something that is not already in place I took out a personal loan from them to cover some of the cost. Now that the building is finished I have asked them to revise the house value and adjust my bond accordingly. Currently my personal loan (with ABSA) cost me R1400pm, to cover this amount over the 29year house bond term will cost me maybe R400pm. I have told ABSA that they can settle personal loan themselves but yet they decline due to affordability??? Also they do not take any allowances into consideration because they don't have 3 months payslips but no one even did the effort to phoned me and request this! Seems like with ABSA you are just seen as a nr and you only apply to a computer that decides if you are approved or not. Being a platinum client I wonder what service the rest of the accounts receive. Very disappointed
