I applied for a R50 000 overdraft and a credit card, 20 days ago at Absa. I still have no overdraft or credit card. They first approved R85 000 on my platinum credit card, but when I had to go and sign the documents, they reduced it to R15 000. I have a Absa bond account (that's paid in advance), business acc, personal acc etc with ABSA, but still this long delay. No, I am not on ITC or a bad payer!!! They tell me they have a back log... and I'm still waiting.
I have also applied for a R390 000 loan today, to complete my personal house on my property. I only owe R140 000 on my house bond and want to finish the top floor.(last phase of my building project of 101 m2) ALL THE REST of the building (165 m2) had been done cash by myself. I will keep you informed as to the outcome of my loan application as well. Sorry, but this is the only way I get proper response for acceptable customer service.
