FNB – incapable of cellular no. portability

According to the T&C's FNB are able to perform a cellular number portability. But when I contacted their support centre they say that they do not do number portability. But I should obtain the device from them and they would provide me with a SIM card (with a cell number) and I should do the number portability with Cell C. I am aware that once a contract is enter into and one obtains a cell number one cannot change this number unless a new contract is taken-up.

When I contacted Cell C they asked me to change my current Vodacom number to a pre-paid Cell C number and then supply this number to FNB, however, FNB are not aware of this arrangement.

My question is, can I obtains a cellular contract with FNB with number portability? If not FNB must notify their customers of this fact.
