I signed up recently with Miway insurance because they offered me the best premiums with the lowest excess (and supposedly, equal or better service too). To get my vehicle insurance finalised I was notified that I need to take my cars to Glasfit to have them assessed, which I duly did (took a day to do this for both cars).
I have been paying premiums ever since inception but now I see fine print on my policy that says "additional requirements" pointing to me getting my vehicles' security features assessed. The assessor is Designer Audio, who happens to be RIGHT NEXT DOOR to Glasfit in Pinetown. Could they have not told me this at the same time? I've been paying insurance for months now and not been made aware that my cars are not covered! Such a run around that could have been avoided.
To make matters worse, the one car now has been damaged in the interim so the report will say "minor dents, scratches and damage" which means I will no doubt have to go back AGAIN once the damage is repaired to get ANOTHER assessment done. That's 3 assessments when in fact the first one would have avoided all of this!
WHAT A TOTAL MESS AROUND! I am losing my patience with Miway! NOT convenient!!!
