Dec 2011 I visited Thohoyandou Venda Plaza branch to find out people whom I was handed over to, the consultant couldn't access my account because she said account was automatically closed. On October 2012 I visited Mbombela (Nelspruit) branch and I was told the same. Beginning of Dec 2012 I visited Mbombela Branch again for something else, assisted by Carol-Ann Constant, her friendly customer service allowed me to ask about my current cheque account. She couldn't access my account but she called other departments/unit within the bank for assistant. She was given the name and tell number of the people I was handed over to, she phoned them and I asked them for settlement which I paid. Since I was told that my account was automatically closed, after payment to DMC I considered that I was done with the debt. I went to Mbombela branch 4 WEEKS ago to close the Pure Saving account, to my surprise I was told that my current account is owing more than R300.00. I FEEL CHEATED BECAUSE MY ACCOUNT WAS AUTOMATICALLY CLOSED AS TOLD BUT NOW I HAVE TO PAY, AFTER ALL THE EFFORT I MADE TO HONOUR MY DEBT.
