Setteling account but no feedback from ABSA

On 06/05 I logged a complaint with Hello Peter about ABSA regarding the settlement amount on my credit card that I want to pay. They responded (CASE REF No: 2328178) saying I still owe them R1500.00 but I then received a letter from ABSA in the post saying my oustanding capital amount is R624.81 which I then paid on 07/05 & 08/05, I forwarded them the proof of payment.
They continue to say that I still owe them R1500.00 and charge me interest till 31/05 but I want to settle my account on 08/05 already? I forwarded them a mail again and asked how this is possible seeing I already paid the capital amount of R624.81 on the commencing date 08/05 and that they must let me know how must I still owe them for the so called interest but I'm not paying interest till end of May cause I requested the settlement amount on 06/05 already and paid on 08/05 my outstanding capital amount. I also requested that this account must be closed cause I'm not interested to have it anymore.
I never heard anything from them again-I refuse to pay interest till month end cause I wanted this to be settled on 08/05 already but ABSA just have no worry to sort it out-but they want interest. Service!
