Hi. I am absolutely disgusted, disappointed and shocked with the service that I have received from Absa in the past week. I went to an ATM in Mafikeng as I had been there on business, I tried to draw money so I could pay for my accommodation and my card got stuck! I didnt know what to do so i stood there like a jack hoping that my card would come out! Finally it said that i should enter my pin and that's what I did and it finally released my card. I then did not want to put my card back at that specific ATM because i was afraid that it would get stuck again so I went to another ATM, drew my money out and carried on with the day as normal! At midnight i started receiving SMS's from the bank (as i am subscribed to the notify me service) saying that money was being taken out of my account! I kept receiving these SMS's and the money that was taken out on various withdrawals that night/morning amounted up to R7500! I then called the Absa call center to put a stop on my account! When i inquired with the Overport City Absa they said that I will not get my money back! Money has been taken out of my bank account without my consent!!! My hard earned money! It needs to be given back to me!
