I got a Discovery Card to get some extra benefits with my Discovery life insurance a while back, I only tok the blue card which offers no credit facilities only a debit facility with all the same benefits. After receiving my card a person called and asked if I would like R500 debited out of my regular fnb cheque account every month, i accepted this. a few days later I lost my job and when the R500 was debited the amount came back unpaid. since then FNB's collection company has phoned me claiming I owe them R1900 or around there, because the amounts of R500 have never been received, the account shows a negative balance on money they were trying to take out of my OWN account, so now I have to pay this money straight to FNB it will not be my own money anymore, they are just claiming it as an unpaid debt. I highly recommend that no one ever takes out a Discovery card, this was an unnecessary shock and lesson for me, especially paying R2000 for a card I have never used
