Never ending story with insurance claims

After being dianosed with a chronic illness that has rendered me disabled, I put in a claim on my rcp & overdraft as I have personal policy protection on both.

Firstly it took them months & a complaint about no response to result in my claims finally being assessed. I sent in all documentation requested as well as the latest updated dr's reports & was told that due to my dr suggesting medical boarding, they require a boarding letter.

I explained although my dr has suggested being boarded from work, my employer has already dismissed me due to incapacity from being ill and has not "boarded me". a case raised with the CCMA could take months to years to resolve. What happens in the meantime? the loan isn't paid up but standing still and interest is been charged on it. Legal actions been taken as a result of not paying the loan.

My policy protection plan covers severe illness and disability and dr's reports were sent proving my disability and illness. therefore the policy protection plan should pay the claim up on the loans, irrespective of being boarded or dismissed. that's what is contracted.

Is sbib finding ways not to pay instead of sticking to contract?
