I did an enquiry with my bank as to why i am paying for two Personal Loan Protection Plan. I originally had a current account and changed over to an Elite account which was said to be the cheapest debt account.
I received an email from a consultant saying that he was not able to make contact with me on the telephone number provided. I mailed informing the gentleman that i was in the UK and that Melkbosstrand Branch was informed of this in 2011 when i change my current account over to an Elite account while still living in SA.
All the mails i received from this gentleman starts off - YOUR COMPLAINT DOES NOT MENTION YOU HAVE RESIDE in another country.
I explained in depth re my concerns - to which he responded that the Personal Loan Protection Plan is for an overdraft. I mailed again stating that I do not have an overdraft and that my account has only a debt order which is attached to it for my person loan account and I'm already paying Personal Loan Protection Plan on that via my loan account. I also mentioned the postage fee I'm been charged for and I'm not receiving any statement. I'm at my wits end as this gentleman has not done a proper investigation into my account..
