Many years ago I had a FNB account, some issues was detected and I went to see the Manager at East Rand Mall at that stage. This was the last i heard from this matter until the other daynearly 5 years later. This account was apparently handed over on the 12/08/2009 for R5, 402.92. I was contacted on Saturday 04/05/2013 notifying that my account shows as default and that legal action will be taken.
The oustanding amount now is R10, 618.00. My question is why has it taken 5 years to now wake up on this matter that i thought was resolved? This account was never recorded on ITC? I have been working at the same company for the last 8 years and have been staying at the same residents for the last 7 years. The account sent shows records of them contacting me but i never received any notice on this until now.
Now all of the sudden i owe twice as much? I would like FNB to look into this matter, I have never been approched by any person at FNB to try and resolve this issue. Now these collectors expect me to pay?
