Refusal to reverse Debit Orde

On 26 March I noticed two first time debit orders, one of company I have made a query with, but not agree to make use of their service. I did the necessary phone calls to double check. A few days later (Saturday) I went in to the bank (Silver Oaks) to have the debit orders reversed. After standing there for an hour, the consultant informed me that he has to verify the debit orders himself, and because it is a Saturday, the call center of the company is closed and I have to go back on the Monday. I explained to him, due to work I cannot come in during the week. He said he cannot help me then. I then complained to the call center whom informed me that the debit orders must be reversed and that they cannot do it - I have all this on email. Today I went to Glenfair and after being investigated and interrogated, the consultant informed me, even though she refuses to reverse the debit orders, she can't because there's a 42day turnaround time. No one took the time to inform me of this.
