I had a problem making an internet payment to an ABSA account so I had to call the call centre. Waited 5 minutes the first time and gave up. Waited 10 minutes the second time. I was trying to make a payment to IDECO, which works as a linked ABSA account and not an ABSA account. I did not know that. The call centre told me that there was a problem with that account and I should contact the company. They should have picked up that this was a linked account and not an ABSA account.
What made the matter worse is that the company tele number was wrong and so was the wed site (they have moved). Three hours to do a 5 minute job.
