On the 29th April my cellphone provider informed me that my phone cannot be repaired by them since a part of the charging mechanism is rusted and that my insurance will be able to help me further.
I duly called Callsure who are my insurance providers for my phone and told them of my situation. They told me that i will need to pay a 10% excess which equalled R499.92. The same day i made an internet payment. I was told by the call centre agent that a courier will be sent to the address i gave them to pick up the phone and they will assess whether it can be repaired or replaced. The entire process i was told will take 2 days. 2 days later my phone had not been picked up, i called them again and spoke to another agent who asked me to send my documents once again and i did. 2 day later i spoke to someone else who confirmed that the is an order for the courier to pick it up. Now 11 days later i am still waiting. Insurance companies are so quick to take our money for their monthly premiums but when they are supposed to service us they give us the run around. I am highly inconvinienced now since i dont have a phone due to this gross unprofessionalism. Please help
