Credit Card settlement

I asked for a settlement amount and I paid the amount I was given on the 18 October 2013, I am so surprised when I received a call today that there is still an outstanding amount on my credit card, can someone please explain this to me, I have email as a proof, so please sort out your mess because I don't understand what is going on.

I am really sorry but this is unacceptable, if I didn't ask for my card to be closed how was I going to know that I have an outstanding amount? I want that card to be closed PLEASE because I paid what I was told to pay.
