I recently got divorced and according to the settlement I retain the house financed by FNB. Beginning of April 2013 I first tried to apply online. Not being successful I went to the Centurion branch. There I was told that their system was off line but that the application form will be e-mailed. I completed the form and returned it. After a week I phoned to enquire about the progress. I was bluntly told it was declined reason being that I recently started a new business and didn't have financial statements. The fact that I had another business for the last 7 years and serviced the bond promply every month wasn't taken into account at all. I also have a clean credit record but apparantly this doesn't matter. I then contacted Nelson Borman conveyancing attorneys on 24 April to assist. Salete dos Santos (FNB) was asked by the attorneys to assist on 25 April. When I phoned the attorneys on 2 May they again e-mailed ms Dos Santos. She in turn then forwarded the e-mail to Vincent Esterhuizen (FNB) on 2 May asking for his urgent response. Today, 7 May, I'm still waiting. How can we help you???
