NOT UPDATING THEIR SYSTEMS

I had a personal loan account with ABSA. It was settled November 2011.
Recently I requested my personal ITC report and to my surprise, there is still an outstanding amount for ABSA and it clearly says, NOT UPDATED. I am trying to apply for a bond and now it shows I still owe ABSA money from 2011!!!
I phoned ABSA call center to ask what this is about and they just say your account shows a zero balance. Asked them for a settlement letter and they requested me to go to a ABSA branch. I went to Alberton branch March 28th 2013. They could not find any record of my account on their system and then said they will go through their archives and mail me a settlement letter by the 2nd of April. It is the 12th April, and no letter has been received, nor has ITC been updated. I've phoned multiple times and I keep on getting the same answer. I went to the Randburg branch today and had to stand there for over an hour for them to search their archives. Finally they gave me a statement as proof but still I have to wait 24 hours for a settlement letter (WHICH I DOUBT I WILL RECEIVE). Randburg branch has been very helpful but the fact that I've been fighting 3 weeks for a letter is terrible!
