Home loans failing to deliver!

During week 8th April i phoned Standard Bank home loans to initiate a further home loan application. The application was opened telephonically but at no stage was I advised that the paper work would need to be submitted within 5 working days or the application would be closed. As I was travelling, I submitted the paperwork by email on the 19th April, and by fax on 20 April. I phoned on Mon 22 April and was advised that the application had been closed and we restarted the process. Since then I have received one communication (an sms), no other updates, or further queries. In the last two weeks I have phoned Standard Bank three times to follow up. I have been told on all three occasions that the application is not being processed because the paper work has not been received or there is documentation missing. The Bank is communicating none of this to me and the paperwork they are requesting is either with them or cannot be provided as I do not own a business and therefore cannot submit business records. One month after my first approach and this application has not moved forward an inch. What really shocking service and supervisors as, usual, rare as hen's teeth!
