Bad Service for new Client

We brought a new car and decided to get new insurance. someone phoned me and told me that this insurance company is the best with 100 years experience and so on, after all the items was listed that we wanted insured the "Payment" that would go off my bank account was R 1080.00 something. The first payment was indeed R 1080 and R99 and R165 and R 150 and a initiation fee of R690!
I phoned to ask what was going on only to be told that that is part of my cover and only after i complained that i was not told about it my husband was phoned and it was explained to him - he knows nothing about insurance or finance.
There after i phoned a new insurance company and got a very much lower premium. - so i wanted to cancel the premium with Oakthust, after 5 days of continuous phoning i threatened them to go to the press and not 5 min later they phone back, only to tell me that the problem was solved because they explained it all to my husband.
I told them that we want to cancel and they would say that could cancel all the extras to only leave the R1080 payment! With bad service and all the why would i continue to use them?
Why would i not want to be covered?
