Its been 7 months now and still no action. The beginning August 2012 I submitted a home owners claim (No 2266400). Two independent assessors appointed by Absa confirmed the validity of my claim. Despite numerous enquirers thereafter, I am still awaiting feedback in this regard. I am now in the process of reporting the matter to the Complaints Commissioner (Case No 1414521). I have yet to contact the Ombudsman.
