Not Happy with the Claim

I was on my way to work and was involved in an accident. the third party acknowlegde he was wrong as he was on the cellphone and i had rite of way. i called my insurance company explained everything and left the matter in their cabale hands. so I thought. the Insurance investigated and it was found that i was not in the wrong and agreed to pay. my insurance cover states that any damages less then R15000 (axcess) i will have to cover, but now in this regard the damages was more as the car was a write off. but i found out from the bank that i still owe R22000 as the insurance did not pay for the cover of the car they actually deducted the R1500 from the bank's settlement amount. i was told that they will try and claim from the third party and "i might or might or not get the money" which puzzles me because the damages were more than the excess amount. i have tried getting feedback from the consultant assisting me but no responce, as we speak i do not even have any paper work to help me understand how much was paid to the bank, how much was cliamed from the third part. this is a very poor and dissapointing service i trully expected better.
