Over a month to try and open a Current Account!

I applied online to open an account, this was done on the 3rd of April, I have been phoned and promised a solution so many times at this point I lost count. It is a month later and I am still waiting for this account o be opened. The only reason I am still pursuing it is to have the same bank as my husband. To say that I am disgusted in this would be an understatement. Obviously more business than than know what to do with.
