Not keeping to delivery date

I purchased a sound system on 11/12/2013 with a promise of del. within two weeks. After five weeks still no del. After numerous E-Mails and phone call to C. Town. Only promises. I informed them that this is a gift to be handed over on 17/01/2014. No response. No reason given as what happened to my purchase. After tomorrow it is too late.
