I upgraded a contract earlier this year to a SAMSUNG and a few weeks back enquired about all additional charges on my monthly bill. To my absolute amusement I was still being charged for BIS. When I enquired about this it was cancelled and I was told that I can only receive 3 months reimbursement and was told that it was my responsibility to check my statements. Firstly if you are going to provide a service to someone then do it properly. I do not work for Vodacom and therefore it is not my responsibility to deactivate anything. Surely if a Vodacom employee makes a mistake by not deactivating BIS when clearly I now have a Samsung then I should be reimbursed for the ENTIRE amount.
On follow up I was told that the regional manager will also only allow a 3 month reimbursement.
I don't understand how a company can from me without providing me a service, but if I don't pay my account I would probably get disconnected. How is that ethical?
