Purchasing a cell phone which is faulty

I purchased a Blackberry 9270 at Cell C in Hatfield Square on 18/10/2013. After about 5 days it started giving me software problems. I took it back because their policy is that they will repair it if returned within 7 days. They told me that they needed the box, so I went home to fetch the box, which was a little damaged, but it was the original box of the phone. They took it in for repairs. After 2 weeks I phoned them to ask about my phone and they told me that the phone was rejected for repairs because of the condition of the box. At that stage the phone was already returned to them, but nobody notified me. The only problem that the phone had was that the back light did not switch off and they told me that it was software problems and that the software had to be installed again. Now, the phone doesn't even go on and they refuse to repair or give me a new phone. They are quick to let you pay for a brand new phone when you buy it, but the aftercare service is very bad. This phone is not cheap. I don't want this phone to be repaired anymore, I want a new phone. The ad on TV about Cell C is misleading and untrue in every sense of the word. 0846940058 Cell C Tell no
