Why use Autopage Insurance???

On 12/7/13 I booked in my son's iPhone 5 @ Malvern for repair. We have Autopage insurance and have been told by salespeople over again that it is the best as it covers everything. The screen was cracked severely as a result of it falling. Malvern said that it would take 1-2 weeks for repairs. After two weeks Johannes confirmed that the new repair system is faulty and it will actually take up to 6 weeks. Collette also spoke to me and admitted that it was wrong info regarding the turnaround time.
And now to crown it all the phone has been returned to Menlyn shop (after much enquiring only to hear it is in queue for repairs and that there are 1000's of phones and only a few technicians) and the phone is still not repaired. With the cracked screen the written response from Technical Dept is " NO REPAIR ACTION NEEDED, NO PROBLEM FOUND"!!!
My question is: After wrongfully giving me as client hope that the phone will be repaired in the incorrect turanround time, it now arrives without any repairing done at all!
The only consultant who has patiently tried to be of excellent service to me with follow up calls and mails to the technical dept is LIESL.
Why take out Autopage Insurance???
