Vodacom
Consumer Protection Act not Adhered to by Vodacom

On the 2nd of April 2013 I took delivery of a Sony Xperia Z on recommendation of the sales staff at the Vodacom shop in the Woodlands mall. Nine days after the phone would switch off every time I'd send a SMS, make a call or activate the camera. I handed the phone in at the Vodacom repair center in Menlyn on the 11th of April. The phone was 'booked in for repairs' and I received notification that it has been repaired and ready for collection on the 12th of April. In total in spent 3 hours at the repair center booking in the phone, had the contact list backup done and collecting the phone. Not having time to test it there and then I left for Lesotho, however on arrival found that the same problem still occurred making the phone not usable. I took the phone in again on the 19th having had to wait another week before my return to South Africa. I explained that the same problem is still happening. Vodacom repair center sent the phone to "advanced repairs".
Two weeks later on the 30th of April 2013 I was notified that the phone has now been repaired and that I can collect. Still the same problem! I want a new phone of my preference Vodacom. This is NON NEGOTIABLE.
