Very disappointed

Hi, my wife and sons missed the bus, so I called the call centre to find out what I can do. Call was answered by Sandile who told me I have have to book new tickets as those were now invalid, I had just spoken to my wife who told me that they were told that there would be A 20% penalty of which it didn't matter cause they were late. I then asked Sandile to speak to a manager, I asked him for a ref number to the call, he told me they are not allowed to give ref numbers. He put me through to the manger Bridget who told me I must book new tickets as those now are invalid, I asked is there no way I could pay a penalty to get them on next bus, she said no! She started being clever and gave me the definition of the word invalid. I then asked her for a ref no she said she cannot give me one. Is this how you treat your customers? I then drove to Durban station and the told me I would have to pay 20% more to get them in next bus which didn't matter. So my question is why did those to treat me like they did, why did they not do their work, why do you not give out reference numbers, does the company have something to hide not giving ref numbers, what's my proof that I called, no ref numbe
