I have been using Kulula for years and especially every year to go to the Argus. In the beginning years I also could bring my bike on the day of departure as I do not live close to JHB. Since that changed it was more inconvenient as I had to travel to JHB a week before just to deliver the bike. I stayed with Kulula because some of their competitors started charging a bike handling fee. When I made the bookings for myself, my wife and my son (and paid) for it in September there was no bike handling fees.. Also now I can only collect the bike from 12 March even though I fly back and go home (Nelspruit) on 11 March. Previously I could hand my bike in on the Sunday after the race and then collect it on Monday afternoon on my way home. As far as the R 300 per bike per flight handling fees is concerned I am not happy to pay this as a matter of principle. This was not communicated to us when I bought the tickets. Also the total weight of our luggage including the two bikes will not exceed 60 kg which I am entitled to. Kulula is putting me in a position whereby I am forced to pay. I did send this to their customer relation dept. on 11 Feb but still no reply.
