I went on the where to stay website a few months ago, and found the Lighthouse Villa, it looked really lovely, lots of bathrooms etc. I then spoke to the owner Gerry and made arrangements to pay the deposit over the next few months which I did. Then on the 9 October 2012 my husband had to go to Cape Town on business so we decided to either stay in the house for a few days and then in December as well. When we got there I was not happy with the house.

I tried to speak to the owner but she refused to speak to me when I ask her and told her in a nice way that we could not stay there in December. I asked her about my deposit and she said "I will not you". She told me this in front of my daughter. On numerous occasion I have called her and emailed her, to talk to her in a decent manner and she just puts the phone down in my ear. Today (19/11/2012) I called her and she said that If she gets another booking for December then she will refund it to me but not the whole deposit but she won't tell me how much or what percentage. I understand that she needs to take off a 10 or 20% off the price for admin or whatever but she is refusing to keep me informed as to when I will get it ba
