We had a booking for 4 people to stay at Springfontein Guest House on the 02 Jan 2013. A tragic accident happened during the December holidays and my sister in law lost her father while fishing. My sister in law is the one that made the booking for all of us and paid the deposit. So I phoned to explain the reason as to why we would not be making it to the Guest House and the person on the other side of the phone was not only abrupt but completely unhelpful. Whilst I am explaining the situation all I got was, " well we are fully booked till the 07 Jan 2013 and so you will have to forfeit your deposit." Not even a case of, " You know that is so sad and let us make an arrangement that you come and stay another time or you can get part of your deposit back." Nothing of the sort - just abruptness. So I am glad that we didn't stay at Springfontein Guest House, because if the phone manner is so rude, well how can it be any better in person.
