Unfair change in points allocation anniversary

Points allocation has now been moved from 1 January every year to your anniversary date which in my case is in October. I understand and agree with the reasoning behind this. It makes great business sense. What i DO NOT agree with is that NO pro rata points were allocated to members. We are expected to pay our full membership fees for the year, which is not insignificant, but we now cannot have the benefit of our points until 10 months into the year. I feel very sorry for member that have their anniversary late in the year. "Early" members now have an oversupply of stock to choose from because we, "late" members cannot make bookings until the end of the year.
