More bad service from flight centre

I'm not surprised flight centre receives another bad review. On Sunday 26 January I went into their Killarney branch, dealing with Bruno requesting a quote for a flight to Cape Town. After obtaining a satisfactory quote I booked and paid for a flight. The agent did not issue the ticket immediately and when I queried at least 4 times whether my rate was secured and if everything was sorted he answered with a resounding yes. Two days later when I queried where my ticket was I was informed that my flight was cancelled and I needed to cough up an additional R1200 to secure another flight. Funny how the flight was cancelled when the very same flight is still available at British Airways. After a number of queries, their manager Carmen then informed me that "we don't want you to feel like we've thrown you under a bus, so we will keep searching for an alternate flight". Needless to say, another 2 days later and I have no alternate flight, tickets prices have increased by at least R2500 from my initial payment date and still I have no refund from flight centre. I will never deal with them
again as I find their staff dishonest trying to cheat customers. They are absolutely incompetent!
