SUN HOLIDAYS has deliberately taken advantage of us, their client, after they have failed to secure a sun city vacation club booking in Sept 2013 (for 12 people) that was made one year in advance together with a 50% deposit paid with Sun Holidays. Sun Holidays decided to cancel the booking 30 days before the booking date without consulting us at that time, despite of the fact that a 50% deposit was in their possession to secure the booking. Then, a 45 % penalty clause was all of sudden imposed if we were to pursue the booking. Upon enquiry from Sun international, they mentioned that a booking will never just be cancelled on their systems if deposit monies have indeed been paid to secure the booking... we had no option, pay the penalty or loose our 50% deposit and no accommodation for 12 people - I might add that this was for a 10th year reunion of our annual golf tour consisting of 12 friends from all over SA... Sun Holidays never pciked up a telephone to discuss the matter, it was only emails. They had no intention to rectify the issue without them benefitting from the shocking position we were put in... What a disgrace, we strongly advise not to make use of Sun Holidays.
