Mango Airlines
Rules for boarding airplanes

We bought tickets to fly from OR Thambo to Cape town. We had managed to buy one return flight, but not the other all the flights were booked. So I managed to find a flight in January and we paid for a date change on the 1st return flight. In total we must have spent just short of R7000 for two tickets. When we arrived at the CP airport we were told that we had to weigh our bags separately. Even though I am married we cant weigh our bags together. So my wife's bag was 15kg and mine was 22kg. We had one hand luggage bag not weighing more than 4kg within the size specifications. I was told that I had to go and pay for 2kg excess baggage. The flight check in was closing in 4 minutes and we had checked in online to prohibit any time delays at 6:30 in the morning. Anyway I paid the R60 but while boarding the size of others hand luggage is ridiculous. Mango needs to look at the situation, we are married, go on holiday together, one hand luggage bag, paid close to R7000 for tickets, now you want to charge me R60 for 2kg. As I said so many other people had huge "hand luggage" and they don't get penalised. It just leaves a bad taste in a persons mouth.
