I have to pay for their mistakes!

When I wanted to go back to JHB on Friday, their was a lot of problems. I was a few minutes late, but still in time to just board without checking in luggage. It was still about 25minutes before the flight would depart. As I had a small bag with me, this would not be a problem, it could go through as hand luggage. As I wanted to check in, they told me I am to late and should go to the tickets department for a little extra book another flight. Here they didn't tell me what the issue was. Going to the tickets department, they couldn't book me another flight, because they boarded someone else with my surname in my place, as there were two"Van Tonder"people on the flight. How is this even possible? Don't they check your ID or license? They told me that I have to pay R502 extra for a flight that is 2 hours later. But they can't book it yet, because according to the computer, I have already checked in. If I checked in, what is the problem? They struggled with this for about an hour. After I paid the extra fee, I came back an hour before the flight, now the flight was delayed. But now they had a problem because I already booked in luggage. Why should I pay for their mistakes. They could have easily let me go earlie
