I called customer care regarding booking train tickets for my family, the lady told me to take my ID book and go to the station. When I arrived here, she wanted my children's birth certificates. Which I wasn't told was needed. And the teller had a stinky attitude. So I got a flashback of last year when I travelled with my 3 kids from cpt to jhb.

First of all the train was more than 7hours late. When finally arriving (at night) at jhb, there was nobody to assist me with my baggage. I had to struggle with my 2month old baby to carry all our stuff off the train. Then one of the employees told me that I must find my own way to get my bags to the top as the ushers with trolleys already went home. As if it was my fault that the train was late.

And secondly, surprise surprise, you are people's money. Last year they made me pay for my then 2month old daughter on the tourist class. Just to be informed today that kids under 2 travel FREE. (Website says under 3 though)

I feel cheated and robbed. Seems like if you are not traveling on PREMIER class, you are worthless and get treated like.

Will rather take the bus next time
