I was on flight je149 on the 21st Dec 2013. My bag was cut where the lock was secured. My Puma running shoes were. I was told that for the R1000 shoes I will get compensated R140 per kg of goods. For my cut bag, 'we can send you a clause indicating that we do not cover that kind of stuff'. I must get an affidavit, send my bank statement and copy of ID in order to get compensated for my loss.
The gentleman that helped me showed no concern for my cut bag, only whether or not I was missing anything. Now that I am missing luggage, I might get R70 for it after I visit the police station.
