I am truly disappointed in the owner (Christo) of ZAVORA DEL SOL, & SafariNow through whom I made my booking. We could not make use of our booking, because when we arrived there, it was NOT a 'good gravel road' as stated by Christo, but a dirt road & sand dunes, for which a 4x4 was needed. That was NEVER advertised.
We got stuck in the sand & the manager had to pull us out with the tractor. He said it is possible that we might damage our car & trailer if he has to haul us up and over the dunes. We had to leave.
I sent a letter to Christo and SafariNow. From Christo - NO response! He has all my money, so why worry, what can I do to him? SafariNow - not interested, send me the standard CANCELLATION POLICY. BUT, I did NOT cancel, I did not 'NO_SHOW', WE SHOWED UP, BUT ZAVORA COULD NOT DELIVER!
With no other options open to us, we had to drive all the way back to Pretoria and only arrived back home after 18 gruelling hours on the road, driving through Mozambique during the night. One would think there should be certain standards regarding adverts from Mozambique. This was a totally misleading advert & I requested my money back, but SafariNow and Christo does not care. REFUND ME!
