I went onto the Saudi Arabian Airlines Website to book a ticket from Johannesburg to Abu Dhabi via Saudi Arabia. On the Website only 3 classes were available GUESTSUPER SAVER, GUESTVALUE and BUSINESS CLASS.No where did it state that theres a different fare for umrah and that the above three fares are NOT VALID For Umrah. I booked a ticket on the lowest fare GUESTSUPERSAVER.Now the Airline states that I have to pay R3500 in for my ticket to be valid. I also made a booking on the same class from Johannesburg to Jeddah for my brother and his ticket has also been issued and confirmed but the airline states that it is not valid unless R3500 is paid. This is very disturbing as where are we to get another R3500 to pay. This has happened to a number of other people as well. The airline refuse to budge and are adamant that if we dont pay the R3500 the tickets are not valid and we lose all our money. Safiiya Cajee
