My very first time flying with Qatar Airways I had my baggage broken into and items, this was in October 2012 and have subsequently submitted a claim and followed the due process as advised by Qatar airways office in Sandton. This I did in October 2012. Upon my constant follow up someone eventually came back to me in December a guy by the name of Michael advising that their headoffice was busy with the claim and have requested that I resubmit the documents. I was advised that the claim should be finalized within 6 - 8 weeks from the date of claim. I am now sitting over 3 months waiting for someone to tell me what is going on the only response I have ever received from them is that their head ofice is still investigating. Now Im not sure what they are investigating as it was clearly proven before I even took my bags that they were now 3kg lighter than the checked in weight. I would really appreciate it if someone can have the decency of giving me a picture of the processes and where my claim sits in the whole picture. Airlines always get away with such and that we as loyal customers tolerate mediocre responses.
