I frequently travel between Cape Town & Johannesburg and with my experience i have learnt that though Kulula is a more comfortable flight to take, Mango is more reliable when it comes to time.
On Thursday evening, 28 Nov 2013, i received an sms informing that my flight had been delayed. I arrived at Cape Town Interntional Airport in time for the new departure time escalated in the sms i received.
I get to the airport, check-in and head to the boarding section. I check the information boards and notice my flight (MN108) is delayed a further 2 hours without any announcements. Annoyed, i take comfort in having my laptop handy and being able to watch series and grab a bite to eat as i wait to board in 2 hours.
Next there's an announcement to collect our bags and head back to the check-in counter. I find a massive queue of 170 people all trying to get a seat on a flight with 120 seats that "might" leave at midnight. I obviously didn't get a seat :(
I was especially annoyed because i was late for my cousins wedding on Friday for which i was the maid of honor.
Kulula did not notify me of any changes timeously or offer any satisfying alternatives. They continue to dissapoint
