At the very last point before boarding the plane, people will be told that their hand luggage is not the correct size according to the SAA standards, and that they are only allowed one item or suitcase per passenger, which myself fully agree upon. Then the tag on their luggage will be removed and a different tag will be placed on the luggage, only to embarrass them further more, to keep their luggage behind, just before they step onto the plane. The arrangement for passengers between business, and economical class is a mess. Passengers will line up for about 20min, and only then a notice board will be placed to inform people where to queue. Further more there is a lot of confusion when announcement get made over the PA system, halve the people can not hear and the other halve do not understand what has been said. I am sure the hand luggage issue can be sorted out before check in at customs already, saves a lot of time and embarrassment. Different nations get onto the SAA 207, Dakar, Washington flight, when making announcements, make sure people understand, surely they will act accordingly. Please sort out the hand luggage issue in time, not when people stepping onto the plane.
