I purchased goods from Mango in Melrose Arch on 23 September and 3 days later (26 Sep) I took the goods back for a refund. I presented my credit card used for the purchase for a refund, the transaction was completed and I left the store. However several days later when checking for the refund I noticed not only had the money NOT been returned but it had been re-charged to my account. Upon contacting the store and speaking to a very unapologetic store manager known only as 'Jennifer' I was curtly informed that she was aware of the erroneous charge made by the clerk, Mdakane. I informed Jennifer that I had already left South Africa and that I wanted the monies returned to my credit card. Jennifer told me she didn't think she could do a manual refund but took my telephone numbers and said if she had any problems I would get a call. I have not received any refund and I am out of pocket ZAR2, 399.70 and have had zero response to my attempts to get the refund resolved. I am owed monies which have been taken from me which is tantamount to. Disgusting and atrocious and definitely not the Mango I am used to. This gives South Africa such a bad name and now Mango too!
